Aziz
Kharsa

An aeronautical engineer who became a change professional. Aziz started by planning aircraft maintenance in Dubai. Today he helps organisations adopt new ways of working, from digital transformation to AI.

What I care about most is helping people trust a change, and learn it well enough to make it their own.

How he got here

Five legs, one thread. The line running down the page is the part that never changed: building trust, and helping people learn. Scroll to follow it.

2012 to 2014

Maintenance Planning Supervisor, Emirates Airlines, Dubai

Starting in the air

Aziz trained as an aeronautical engineer and went straight into airline operations in Dubai. Planning aircraft maintenance showed him how technical work really gets done: through schedules, suppliers and many people agreeing on one plan.

  • BSc Aeronautical Engineering, 2012
  • Airline operations

The people threadI coordinated internal departments, suppliers and manufacturers around one schedule.

2015 to 2020

Move to Switzerland, MSc and Teaching Assistant, University of Geneva

A new country, a new language, a new field

He moved to Geneva, learned French, then went back to university for an MSc in Strategic and International Management. He also taught the Introduction to Management course. This is where the engineer started learning the language of business.

  • French (C2)
  • MSc, University of Geneva, 2020
  • 150+ students taught

The people threadI mentored student teams on their business plans, with structured feedback and evaluation.

2018 to 2019

Business and Performance Analyst, Intertek, Geneva

Making performance data useful to people

At Intertek, Aziz worked between the numbers and the people who use them. He monitored KPIs across regions and business units for senior leadership, and was the main contact for rolling a performance platform out across the world.

  • 270% more users in 12 months
  • 100+ offices
  • 70+ KPIs monitored

The people threadAdoption grew through the structured training, facilitation and ongoing support I gave international teams.

2021 to 2024

Technical Project Manager, CAPEX Projects, Clean Greens Solutions SA (B-Corp), Lausanne

Heavy, technical and international

He delivered infrastructure projects for sustainable food production, including a 6,000 m2, multi-million euro advanced farm enabling large-scale urban agriculture in desert regions. He also supported the growth of the company's Gulf market.

  • 6,000 m2 farm
  • 1,000+ components
  • 50+ suppliers worldwide
  • Teams of 5 to 10

The people threadI was the primary contact between clients, suppliers and internal teams, through to on-site installation.

2025 to 2026

Project Manager, UNHCR, Geneva (Sep 2025 to Feb 2026) and Digitalizers, Geneva (2025)

AI and new ways of working

At Digitalizers, Aziz built AI workplace solutions on no-code and low-code platforms and delivered an AI chatbot on AWS for EU government and humanitarian operations. At UNHCR he co-led the digital transformation strategy in the Division of People Management and planned the adoption of Microsoft 365 Copilot.

  • 200 staff trained on Copilot
  • 500 staff reached on AI
  • AI chatbot on AWS

The people threadI ran awareness campaigns, onboarding, live training and support materials, so new tools actually get used.
